Their streamlined single-panel design creates crisp, clean lines, while the solar collection offers effective protection from harmful sun rays.

Type of Roller Shades

Roller shades are available in interior and exterior mounting configurations. Interior mounts install within the window frame, positioning the fabric to cover only the glass portion. Homeowners often prefer this style for its streamlined, minimalist look. Keep in mind that because the shade width is always smaller than the headrail to fit properly within the frame, small gaps may appear along the edges, allowing some light penetration.

Exterior mounts are positioned to encompass the complete window frame. The headrail attaches to the wall surface above and alongside the window opening. This approach eliminates light gaps entirely. However, this installation style may appear less refined and can obscure decorative trim or architectural details surrounding the window.

Additionally, roller shades come in two rolling configurations: standard and reverse roll. With a standard roll, the fabric descends from the rear of the headrail, positioning it closer to the glass. With a reverse roll, the fabric hangs from the front of the headrail, creating additional clearance but potentially allowing more light seepage.
